ALMERIA came out as favourite in a survey amongst tourists who visited Andalucia in the first three months of the year.
In the Andalucia Tourism Situation Survey, tourists gave the province 8.5 marks out of 10.
Last year, Almeria was the destination in Andalucia which tourists considered the safest, with 8.8 out of 10, almost one point more than the average in Andalucia.
Almeria also gets high marks for its health care system, although it falls down on the ‘tourist offer’ which includes beaches, landscapes, natural parks and urban areas, because none of them even reach eight points.
Some 950,000 people visited Almeria province between July and September this year. The average stay in the province is 8.7 days with a daily expenditure of €50.6 on average.
