Sweet success for cancer charity

DURING the month of October town halls and cancer charity and awareness groups were on overtime promoting their campaigns and raising and donating monies for the cause with thousands of people getting involved throughout the province. 

Every little helps in the fight and local hairdressing salon, Heaven hair and beauty were doing their bit by helping to support the cause, fundraising and creating awareness by selling cupcakes. Made by the team at the salon in their spare time they managed to raise €220 which was presented by owner Veronica and her staff to Helen Kearney, the vice president of Cancer Care.

“We thank all of our clients who helped us raise the money,” said salon owner Veronica.
