As of January an electric car charging station at Plaza Monseñor Rodrigo Bocanegra in Marbella, will be municipal property as Japanese company NEDO, previous managers of the station, have handed the keys over to local Mayor Jose Bernal.
The station in Marbella is the busiest of the nine currently available in Malaga Province (there are seven in Malaga City and one in Fuengirola) and was used more than 600 times between May and September, the council announced.
The authorities aim to have more charging stations up and running across the province in the near future.
