Mayor of Mijas, Juan Carlos Maldonado, accompanied by his deputy Jose Luis Pérez Rojano, visited the studio of Revelation Television in La Cala de Mijas on Thursday November 26.
The mayor was invited to a champagne reception at the studio to meet the management and staff and make a tour of the studio, where he saw the television sets from which live shows are broadcast on the Sky TV Channel, the editing room and the control room.
Howard Conder, the founder of Revelation Television, Lesley Conder, in charge of scheduling the programmes, Alan Tun, part of the management team, Miles Conder, studio manager, Cyrus Fernando, presenter, directer and producer of live shows, as well as Rachelle Fisher, presenter and producer, Hugh Jackman, presenter, Felicity Corbin-Wheeler, a guest presenter, were all honoured to meet the mayor and his deputy.
The meeting was organised by Barbara Fernando, who was recently involved with fundraising events for Unicef.
Two of the most important members of management team, Gordon and Lorna Pettie, were not able to attend as they were working at the London Studios.
Mayor Maldonado was impressed by the quality and professionalism he witnessed at the studios and said he was pleased that they were contributing to the local economy.
Revelation Television is one of the most well-known Christian television stations in the UK. It started 12 years ago in London and relocated to Spain three years ago.
The channel has been operating in 169 countries all over the world to include viewers watching through the internet.
