SCHOOL LECTURE: Addressed emotional intelligence.
A LA HERRADURA secondary school held a lecture about how children can improve their attention spans and overall moods.
The event took place at the Insituto de Enseñanza Secundaria, and included a variety of topics and activities.
The lecture was given by Secondary School counsellor Maribel Arrabal who addressed themes like mindfulness and emotional intelligence.
There were also yoga and meditation sessions, which had the aim of improving the concentration and attention spans of the students.
Headmaster Luis Javier Conteras pointed out this is only one of many similar activities that have taken place in recent months. In another workshop, an expert psychosocial analyst worked with parents and children over the course of four sessions. The workshop had a focus on the prevention of family conflicts, especially those that occur when children are on the threshold of adolescence.
