THE Amlin International Moth Regatta took place in Bermuda from December 5 to 11 and saw some 60 competitors from 14 countries visit the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club and fighting for a share of the $10,000 (€9,100) prize money. Moths are a strange class which were originally cheaply home built dinghies, but are now expensive commercially produced boats designed to hydroplane on foils.
