Berns Stockholm.
AT 4.19am on the morning of December 23, an unknown person threw an explosive device into the well-known and prestigious Berns nightclub in central Stockholm. The device exploded whilst staff but no customers were still inside the premises. No-one was injured.
This is the second attack on a property in Stockholm operated by the Stureplansgruppen group as just two weeks ago, a man fired several shots at the entrance door to the nightclub Sturecompagniet.
Police closed down the area around Berns which is connected to the famous Berns boutique hotel, which has welcomed guests such as Bill Gates and Rihanna, whilst they searched the area and also obtained footage from CCTV cameras.
Although there are no actual suspects, it seems unlikely that this is a terrorist act and it is more likely that the perpetrator is someone who has a grudge against the owners.
