No 6 Convent Place.
AN UNEMPLOYED 49-year-old man Gino Baglietto was arrested for spraying messages concerning unemployment on the walls of a number of buildings including No 6 Convent Place, the headquarters of the Gibraltar government.
His defence was that he had been unemployed for six months as had others in Gibraltar and wanted to raise awareness to the plight of those without work, but he recognised that this was not the correct way to act and undertook not to take similar actions in the future.
He was fined a total of £300 (£100 for each offence) and in an act of recognition of his situation, the Justice of the Peace gave him until November 2016 to pay the fine in full.
