BIKER GROUP: Marisa Diaz receiving the Certificate of Thanks.
FOLLOWING a very successful fundraising campaign in support of the Children of Emaus, members of the Costa Blanca Espana Harley Davidson motorcycle group decided to spread their generosity further afield with a donation of €2,000 from their own group funds to the Doble Amor Centre in Benidorm.
This centre works with handicapped young adults, helping them to integrate into society through the production of crafts in their workshops that help to make the project self-sufficient. The €2,000 will be used to improve the facilities and workshops at the centre as it meets the challenges it will face in 2016.
Marisa Diaz, the director of the biker group, received a Certificate of Thanks from the director of the centre, Casimiro Vila Esteban in the presence of a group which included councillor for Social Welfare, Angela Llorca and the mayor of Benidorm, Don Antonio Perez.
