Gonzalo ‘Chory’ Castro.
Following his presentation, the latest Málaga CF signing put on his new Blue and Whites’ shirt at what is now his new home: La Rosaleda stadium.
Uruguayan-born Gonzalo ‘Chory’ Castro knows LaLiga well and has played at La Rosaleda many times. However, this morning he stepped on to the pitch for the first time as a Málaga CF player.
It is always a special moment for a player arriving at a new club, and there were numerous compatriots from Uruguay in the terraces today, to whom the new signing gave the football which he used for the first time on the pitch at the Martiricos stadium.
Chory posed for photos for the media, launched the ball and scarf into the crowd and lastly he even took off his boots to give to fans during his first hours as a Blue and Whites’ player.
Having now been presented as a ‘Malaguista’ at La Rosaleda, his next step is to take part in an official match at this ground alongside his new teammates at Málaga CF.
