DOG POUND: Working on a policy to terminate dogs being taken to the local pound.
THE Costa del Sol Sí Puede party in Torremolinos is taking an active interest in animal welfare and through a survey on its website (which is only in Spanish) has listed more than 10 issues for comment on by interested parties, which include a policy on the termination of dogs in the local pound as well as a ban on bullfighting.
Those which receive the greatest response will be incorporated into an all-purpose motion which it will present to the council for review and they hope implementation.
This party, which aligns itself with Podemos returned three candidates, all of whom are relatively young and idealistic in the last council elections.
The candidates have taken a great deal of interest in promoting awareness of both social matters and council transparency.
