Man arrested at Gatwick Airport under Terrorism Act

A 21-YEAR-Old man was arrested in the early hours of January 30 at Gatwick Airport on suspicion of committing an offence under Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000 which involved the alleged collection of information.

A statement by Thames Valley Police said there was no threat to the airport or passengers and the man was released on bail until April 5 following his arrest by the South East Counter Terrorism Unit during which time the investigation will continue.
