An annual date for dancing in Alfaz

MORE than 400 dance enthusiasts converged on Alfaz del Pi recently for the seventh Dance Schools Meeting.

They came from all over the Valencian Community as well as the neighbouring region of Castilla-La Mancha to enjoy workshops aimed at all levels and tastes.

The event organised by Club Costa Blanca Balla and the town hall’s Sports Department was held at the Hotel Kaktus in Albir.  

“A third of the participants were from out of town and spent the weekend here,” said Carolina Marcet, one of the organisers.   

“The meeting is now a regular event for many dance fans and they leave the date free so that they can come here each year.”
