BA City Flyer: Flights to Malaga will be effective from May 28.
IN what is seen as being direct competition with budget airlines easyJet and Ryanair, British Airways has announced that it will fly for the first time out of Stansted Airport, with initial destinations being Faro, Ibiza, Malaga and Palma.
The flights, which will be operated by subsidiary BA CityFlyer using a 98-seat Embraer 90 effective from May 28, and are initially likely to operate on Saturdays and Sundays, although this may change depending on popularity.
In a bid to encourage passengers, BA will offer fares from as little as £49 (€63) each way for passengers with hand luggage only, but will not charge for seat selection.
