One of Spain’s beaches is officially the best beach in Europe

THE SMALLEST island in the Balearics officially boasts the best beach on the continent. Playa de Ses Illetes is at the northerly point of Formentera and has been awarded the title of the best beach in Europe by the review website Trip Advisor. Holiday-makers from across the globe have commented on its breath-taking beauty and fine sand. 

One holiday maker said, ´If you ever want to see paradise, come here. It’s hard to believe that what you’re seeing is actually real´. The island is only 6 kilometres to the south of Ibiza and the beach is a thin strip of white sand which divides the Mediterranean on both sides.
