Man Rescued After Falling From Paraglider
A FIFTY-SIX-YEAR OLD Dutch paraglider was rescued near Nerja after getting into trouble on Sunday February 21. In the early evening, Emergency Services 112 were advised that the man had left Otivar two hours before, but still had not arrived at his intended destination of Almuñecar.
A helicopter was sent out to rescue the man, who was discovered in the Colmenarejos Ravine with a chest injury. He was taken to the Carlos Haya Hospital in Malaga where he was treated for his injuries.
