Brits warned about Brexit import fees when shopping online this Christmas.
A BRITISH man, living in Calpe was arrested this week when it came to the notice of police he was using the Spanish Postal system to send marihuana to a contact in Ireland.
Police were tipped off by a transportation company as the same man was sending similar parcels via their transit system but used different names each time. The police monitored and tracked the packages for two months and eventually located and arrested the man in Alicante.
He was found in possession of two parcels, 10kg of marihuana in total, once again destined for Ireland. He had used a false identity to send the parcels across the water. Marihuana has double the street value in England and Ireland.
