North Korea says it could launch an attack on South Korea and the US.

North Korea is threatening “A pre-emptive nuclear strike of justice to South Korea and the US” after a large military operation was launched.

Pyongyang has issued a statement saying recent military exercises are in preparation for an invasion. The US and bordering country South Korea have claimed that these are purely drills and not aggressive but defensive.

North Korea stated, regarding its enemies, that they: “are working with bloodshot eyes to infringe upon the dignity, sovereignty and vital rights” of North Korea. The defence commission threatened strikes to South Korea, US bases in the Pacific and the US mainland.

The statement continued: “If we push the buttons to annihilate the enemies even right now, all bases of provocations will be reduced to seas in flames and ashes in a moment.”

Moon Sang Gyan, a spokesman from South Korea said that Pyongyang must stop from a “rash act that brings destruction upon itself”.

The statements come after the largest ever military drills took place with 300,000 South Korean and 17,000 US troops. The drills are in preparation should North Korea launch a nuclear missile. Many speculators doubt whether North Korea would be capable of initiating such huge attacks especially of hitting the mainland of the United States.

Harsh sanctions have been issued on North Korea by the United Nations after Pyongyang carried out a nuclear test and launched long range ballistic missiles.

      Oh for heaven’s sake!
Even if Pyongyang had 100 nuclear ICBMs (which it seemingly doesn’t) and launched them all at once at juicy targets, there have to be at least one or two clear-thinkers in the North Korean chain of military command who understand it would be suicide to try it — maybe the Supremo who was executed a month-or-so-ago was one of them and he was killed-off to keep him quiet.
The nuclear response they would draw down upon themselves would very likely be so enormous that the real impact would be the need to update all the school atlases around the world, because where North Korea had once been there would be just a big hole in the earth’s crust filled with sea water.
Me personally? I just wish the media around our ears would stop giving Mr-whoever-he-is the semblance of some kind of sanity by regurgitating every tom-fool donkey’s bray that Pyongyang utters and making them sound almost serious.
Forgive me, dear Editor. Since you chose to run this story at all, your headline should have been on the lines of “ANOTHER SILLY JUVENILE BRAG FROM NORTH KOREA. WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO GROW-UP?” instead of re-running their fa*ting noises verbatim under such a gormless headline.
