AS part of its programme of disposing of supermarket properties that do not fit in with its development plans, Basque-based Eroski wants to sell 36 stores around Spain, including two in Mallorca, to Carrefour for €205 million.
The stores involved are continuing to trade whilst awaiting government approval for the deal.
Eroski wants to upgrade its remaining stores to become more citycentric, as those to which this has been done have shown a marked increase in return per square metre.
