SPRING: Is expected to have lower pollen levels.
THIS spring is expected to have lower pollen levels than normal due to the lack of rain and constant changes in climate, with warm and cold periods. Head of the Clinical Management Unit of Allergies of the Regional Hospital of Malaga, Maria Jose Torres, said they were not expected to have much pollen ‘unless it starts raining,’ although it was possible there may be some ‘isolated cases.’
The hay fever and allergies period begins with spring when temperatures rise. However, this year, due to the changes in climate and warmer than normal winter, Torres admits: “It is difficult to know when the period of allergies will start.” Keep your handkerchieves at the ready.
