THE Gibraltar Tourist Board (GTB) has announced that the fourth Gibunco Gibraltar International Literary Festival will run from October 20 to 23 this year, and following the success of the previous events, everyone is very positive about the future of the festival.

Minister for Tourism, the Hon Samantha Sacramento MP, said: “The literary festival is an example of our events led tourism strategy, which has demonstrated our capacity to organise quality international events which have placed Gibraltar on the map. We want to build up on the success of the previous editions and deliver another prestigious festival packed with leading authors and celebrities. We look forward to another great edition.”

The GTB is now in discussions with headline speakers and expects to be in a position to make an announcement of guest speakers within the next few weeks. The festival is honoured that HRH the Princess Royal has agreed to be the Patron of the festival.

As in previous years, the GTB is offering sponsorship opportunities for companies, organisations or individuals to be a part of this magnificent event and would be pleased to receive applications.

Although already in the planning stages, the GTB is equally interested in receiving suggestions or feedback as to the content of the festival by writing in to their Facebook page www.facebook.com/gibraltarliteraryfestival.
