LOCAL POLICE and fire crews were called to a car accident on the old N-340 near Victor’s Beach bar in Marbella. Six people were injured, two seriously, after the collision at 3.30pm on April 4.
The smash involved a rented car being driven by a tourist and his partner, who both suffered minor injuries, and a BMW, in which four Spanish nationals were travelling. Two of the occupants of the BMW were seriously injured, the other two sustained minor injuries.
It seems that the collision happened after one of the vehicles attempted a prohibited left turn hitting the oncoming car as it was driving in the opposite direction.
The fire brigade and Local Police were quick on the scene. A rescue operation took place to rescue the trapped occupants of the BMW.
