A CONSIDERABLE number of Guardia Civil anti-terrorism officers congregated on properties in Pinto and Ciempozuelos (Madrid) and arrested four men, three Moroccans and one Spaniard, in the early hours of Tuesday May 3.
According to a statement issued by the Guardia Civil the men were suspected of “spreading terrorist ideology of a jihadi nature online as well as the recruitment and radicalisation of new members.”
The four were allegedly creating a network which concentrated on websites and apps to allow them to choose appropriate targets for radicalisation, and they were effectively grooming those they were in contact with to behave in a manner which could eventually have led to them becoming ‘front-line’ activists.
