Catastrophe in Gijon as man found dead during his stag party

TRAGEDY struck Gijon as a 34-year-old man from Madrid died after plummeting to the street from a fifth floor hotel window during his stag party.

The man had travelled to the Asturian city with a group of friends and his brother, who suffered a panic attack in the aftermath and had to be rushed to hospital.

The circumstances behind the victim’s death remain unclear, since he had been sleeping alone in a locked room, with his companions describing his mood as “very happy,” as they left him just an hour before he was found on the pavement.

The group had arrived to the hotel around six in the morning in good spirits, with the deceased wearing a medieval dress and white wig, and his friends were unaware that anything had happened until they were informed by police.

Agents will now attempt to determine whether the death was accidental, since the man had shown no apparent signs of depression or any other condition prior to the fatal tumble, with his wedding planned for June.
