That’s not my penis, it’s a python!

A MAN is recovering in hospital in Thailand after being bitten on the penis by a three-metre python while sitting on the toilet.

The unsuspectingly victim, named as Attaporn Boonmakchuay, escaped his ordeal with an eight centimetre wound, which required stitches, but doctors say it could have been much worse if his urinary tract had been affected and predict he will make a full recovery.

Boonmakchuay later explained that he fought the snake for 30 minutes before he managed to get its mouth open and detach it, even though his wife ran for help and a neighbour tried to use a knife and rope to free him.

“All of a sudden, while I was holding it, it began to lose some strength so I used my hand to prize its mouth open, then it released its grip by itself,” he said.

Large snakes are common in Thailand, even in urban areas, especially as the rainy season begins and they moved from flooded areas to higher ground, meaning the surprise toilet visitor was not as much of a surprise as it could have been elsewhere. Although they had to break through the toilet with hammers, rescue workers eventually managed to release the beast.
