Drink-driving councillor loses licence

VELEZ-MALAGA councillor Jose Antonio Moreno, who was caught drink driving in Torre del Mar on May 17, has lost his licence for eight months and two days and has been fined €1,440.

The Ciudadanos councillor, who was caught by the Local Police driving a friend’s car while more than three times over the legal alcohol limit, was initially asked to step down by party secretary Fran Hervias, however Ciudadanos delegate in Malaga Teresa Pardo has said that that is a matter for the party’s legal team in Madrid to decide.
