THWARTED: Some of the sequestered booty.
NATIONAL POLICE have busted a criminal group offering a drugs home delivery service in Estepona, with seven suspects arrested among which a 52-year-old woman and her 26-year-old son are the ringleaders.
The gang had a fixed base of clientele who would place orders to be delivered by car or motorcycle in a system referred to as ‘tele-coca’ by investigators, but also sold cocaine retail-style in a local house of ill-repute.
Police were alerted to the group’s activity after they received two anonymous complaints via their website, leading to the arrests of five women and two men, plus the seizure of 432.7 grams of pure cocaine, a digital scale and €4,410 in cash from the figurehead’s home.
A separate raid on the brothel resulted in the confiscation of pre-weighed bags of the drug, a machine used to take credit card payments and accounting records, among other items.
