A walk on the paseo with the mayor

THE long-awaited opening of the new section of the paseo in Mojacar Playa will take place tomorrow (Wednesday June 8).

The official opening ceremony will not take place until after the Spanish general elections, but tomorrow evening the fences will be removed and people will be able to enjoy the new facility.

Mayor of Mojacar Rosa Maria Cano will walk the promenade and invited members of the public to join her in this exciting event.

The walk will begin at 8pm starting at the Cueva de Lobo section of the paseo.

The new section includes a cycle path, benches, garden areas and car parking for 59 cars. This extends the existing paseo by 880 metres, and continues to the Red Cross roundabout.
