THE well-known author Louis de Bernieres who wrote ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’ and ‘Birds without wings‘ amongst others is probably the most high profile of the guests announced although there will also be addresses from former First Sea Lord of the Royal Navy, Admiral Alan West and food critic and director Jonathan Meade who will discuss his new cookbook ‘The Plagiarist in the Kitchen.’
Also confirmed for attendance to this the fourth Gibunco Festival which runs from October 20 to 23 under the Royal Patronage of the Princess Royal are historian Dr Matthias Strohn, who will launch his new book ‘The Royal Gibraltar Regiment 1939-2014’, Boyd Tonkin and Dr Sally Bayley.
