DEATH ROW: The hotel is still waiting to be demolished.
AS the huge skeleton of the empty hotel continues squatting on its own seaside version of death row awaiting demolition, legal battles continue over El Algarrobico.
The Junta de Andalucia regional government obtained court permission two weeks ago to send inspectors into the building to carry out evaluations in response to the developer’s claim for €70,042,712 in material and moral damages, yet there has been no news of who would go or when, and now it has asked the high court to delay proceedings.
The Junta has asked for the cases against itself and Carboneras Council to be put on hold until another two cases are resolved.
