THE Centre for Contemporary Art in Malaga, La Termica, has brought the UPHO Photowall experience to Marbella and San Pedro de Alcantara, in collaboration with cultural management of contemporary art brand GACMA.
Including photographs from 23 Andalucian artists, who have each contributed a pair of images, the outdoor exhibition will be on display in Marbella’s old centre and Plaza de la Libertidad in San Pedro until September 15.
The scheme is one of the upshots of the first UPHO, an urban photography festival held in Malaga City during May, with the objective of integrating photography into a public, urban context.
The theme of the festival was ‘Identity Flows’, the title of a photographic research project which formed part of the European ‘Urban Layers’ initiative.
