GOING UNDERGROUND: Tube passengers had unexpected stroll.
AROUND 350 passengers on London’s tube system were evacuated from a train that broke down early evening on July 5. They then had to walk for about five minutes along the track itself to the nearest station, Shepherds Bush.
Passengers said the unplanned event was handled well by tube staff and there was no air of panic. All were offered a full refund for their curtailed trip. The full cause of the stoppage is being investigated although it appears to be an electrical fault.
