A NUMBER of people who attend the Care Agency’s Waterport Terraces Day Centre participated in the recent Governor’s 2016 Convent Fair, selling handcrafted goods produced at the Day Centre throughout the year, including hand-painted candleholders and knitted toys.

These service users take great pride in the preparation of such events. Handcrafting the products forms an important part of the social interactions at the Day Centre, and the Convent Fair offered a fantastic opportunity for service users to showcase their skills, and some of the service users also volunteered to run the stall at the Fair.

Minister for Social Services, the Hon Samantha Sacramento, said: “I am proud of the great work produced by our Day Centre service users and the effort and time that each of them have put into this projects. I am also very grateful to the dedicated staff at the Day Centre for making this possible.”
