The smell of citronella repels the pesky insects from your home.
THE pleasant scent and strong anti-mosquito properties of citronella makes it your perfect ally for relaxing summer evenings on the terrace or balcony.
Citronella or lemongrass has been used for hundreds of years as a natural insect repellent as they hate the smell of it. In plant form, it is highly versatile and will grow almost anywhere as long as it gets plenty of sunlight and is not allowed to get too damp.
The oil extracted from the plant can be applied to ankles and wrists, sprayed in bedrooms or evaporated in essence burners to ensure a good night’s sleep and an itch-free day, and there are also lots of candles which are available in all sorts of different decorative holders providing a pleasant scent, appearance and anti-bite properties all at once.
