AN EMIRATES Airlines Boeing 777-300 said to be 13-years-old crash landed at Dubai International Airport at 12.45pm local time on August 3 causing a closure of the airport whilst a fire on the aircraft was brought under control.
Flight EK521 was travelling from Thiruvananthapuram in India to Dubai when it crash landed due to an apparent equipment failure.
An official statement advised “All passengers were evacuated safely and no injuries have been reported so far. Authorities at Dubai International Airport are dealing with the incident at the moment to ensure safety of all.”
