HUZZAH: Footloose filly Fergie will attend the glitzy gala.
ONE of the most glamorous events in Marbella’s increasingly glittering annual social diary takes place on Saturday, August 6, as Malaga native and Hollywood heart-throb Antonio Banderas presents his annual charity gala dinner at Nagüeles quarry.
This is the seventh consecutive year for the high profile event, which tends to attract a multitude of stars and television personalities as it has become established among the most significant philanthropic occasions in the country.
All proceeds will be donated to the ‘Niños en Alegria’ (Joyful Children) and ‘Lagrimas y Favores’ (Tears and Favours) foundations, which aim to provide aid to underprivileged children in Guerrero, Mexico, plus socially depressed university students and cancer victims in Malaga, respectively.
The extensive list of VIPs in attendance will mostly comprise Spanish celebs, although Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, who enjoys a supremely lavish lifestyle despite owing money all over town, will also be present this year.
