BUSTED: Some of the stolen items recovered during the raid.
THE beady, ever vigilant eyes of the Guardia Civil have come to rest on a pair of burgling Brits, who allegedly committed up to twenty robberies at a series of hotels in Magaluf over a period of just a few weeks.
Following sustained success, the freestyle filchers were eventually clocked by a Guardia Civil patrol as they were in the midst of their latest smash-and-grab, leading officers to move in and snaffle them red-handed.
Once the pilfering pair were safely ensconced behind bars, investigators found that they had booked a room in a nearby hotel, presumably posing as tourists before sneaking into other establishments and breaking into unoccupied rooms, where they hoovered up any portable valuables they came across, mostly mobile phones and cash.
Upon searching the men’s room, officers found a range of high-end smartphones, laptops and large amounts of money, and anyone who has lost such items in recent weeks is encouraged to contact the Guardia Civil office on 971 69 37 83.
