Children enjoying learning hockey skills.
AS part of the summer sports and leisure programme sponsored by Nat West, hockey skills and drill was a real hit with those young people who tried it.
Four weeks of skills and drills using the new rebound and crazy rebound boards, magic ropes, hurdles, tunnels and much more have been a great way of introducing children and young people to some of the skills and control required to excel in hockey.
The summer sports and leisure programme ‘Sports Train’ continues for the next two weeks from Monday to Friday offering a variety of sports and leisure activities for young people over the age of seven years.
‘Children’s Corner’ will also be taking place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 12.30pm for five and six year olds. Sports associations and leisure providers will also be providing a variety of activities up until the end of the summer.
