ETA supporter arrested by Guardia Civil

AN ITALIAN national was arrested by officers of the Guardia Civil under direction of the Central Court of Instruction No. 6 of the National Court this morning August 19 for the alleged offences of glorifying terrorism and publishing libel against both King Felipe VI and the interim Prime Minister.

The person detained is believed to have been active for the past 18 months using different names to promote the terrorist group ETA and to insult and libel the king and prime minister through the internet.

The offices of the Guardia Civil have been comparing different postings of a similar nature and concluded that a single person was involved who they managed to identify and arrest near his home in Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara).

Following the arrest he was subsequently transferred to the offices of the Civil Guard in that town for interview and charging.
