Alleged kidnapper’s Volkswagen van
SURREY POLICE are urgently trying to trace a black Volkswagen Transporter van, after a child vanished in a busy city centre.
The missing child, only six years old, was seen being bundled into the van at around 4.43pm on Thursday August 25 in the town of Redhill, Surrey. The child’s bike was left abandoned at the scene, with forensics experts taking fingerprints to try and establish the identity of the kidnapper.
Reports from local neighbours suggest that a man in a van tried to abduct two local boys just metres away from the scene of the reported kidnapping last month.
The boys were seen outside a local supermarket talking to the driver of the van, who then tried to incite them into getting in but was scared away in the nick of time by one of the supermarket’s employees.
The area where the child disappeared is now being combed by police for evidence, with detectives trying to “establish the details of the situation.”
