The Gibraltar Fair comes to an end

Just some of those enjoying the fair

ALTHOUGH there are no young people dressed in traditional Flamenco costumes, the annual Gibraltar Fair which ran from August 20 to 28 does to a great extent follow the Spanish model, with a fairground, food and drink and musical attractions.

With a combination of local talent including a tribute to the Eurovision Song Contest as well as a visit from Katrina Leskanich who as part of Katrina and the Waves won the contest in 1997 with Love Shine a Light there was something for everyone.

Each night has seen large crowds visiting the funfair and enjoying the entertainment in this the first main event in the run up to National Day on September 10.
