Bajondillo Beach in Torremolinos.
A British tourist has died on the El Bajondillo beach in Torremolinos on the morning of Monday, August 29.
Local sources have said that the 77-year-old man was getting on an inflatable attraction when he suddenly appeared to take a turn for the worse. Before the speedboat that tows the attraction even started its motors the man in question was moved to the shoreline with serious breathing problems.
Soon after, he suffered a heart attack and even though the emergency services were on hand to assist him, he unfortunately passed away at the scene.
The latest occurrence marks the end of a deadly month along the beaches of the Costa del Sol, with a French woman also losing her life less than a kilometre away just the day before.
