Astrology: Make practical plans!

Sun in Virgo: Until September 22 the sun is ruled by the earthy sign of Virgo. This sign is industrious, productive, and pays attention to detail.  Make practical plans this month to complete projects.  Mercury, the sign of communication, is retrograde (moving backwards) for most of this month.  This is the ideal time to clear out clutter, learn ways to develop a calmer mind, and focus on your well-being to increase your energy levels and stay healthy as we come into the darker autumn months.  

Two new moons: The last time two new moons occurred in one month was in January 2014.  Cast your mind back to that time.  Did any important events take place for you during that month?  On Thursday September 1 the new moon is in the sign of Virgo and sets the tone for a productive month ahead.  The month ends with the new moon in Libra on September 30, bringing a feeling of fun, lightness and unity.  The second new moon is called a black moon.  To make the most of the new beginnings offered this month, consider what is most important to you and write a list of three goals you would like to achieve over the coming year.  Then take inspired action every day and watch your dreams unfold…

Full moon in Pisces: It’s a good time to talk about dreams with the full moon in the watery sign of Pisces on September 16.  What’s your heart’s desire?  Now’s the time to dig deep and remember what’s really important to you.  Use your imagination to visualise living your heart’s desire and take a step today toward fulfilling this dream.  Creating new beginnings takes discipline and perservence.  Begin a daily routine, perhaps with a little meditation and reading every morning to prepare your mind for the day ahead.  With just a bit more focus each day on what you really want to achieve you will soon find you are living your heart’s desire!

Numerology: Endings and new beginnings

The number nine: The total of 2016 when added together gives us the number nine, making this month particularly powerful for change.  What do you need to let go of to make space for the new?  As humans, we resist change, even when it’s good for us! In numerology nine is the last number of the cycle before returning back to the begining.  What have you learned this year?  What is working for you?  Does anything feel like an uphill struggle?  Whilst persistence pays sometimes knowing when to let go and move on can be liberating too.  Take some time out to listen to the whispers of your soul this month.  As September draws to a close, know that you will feel clearer and more confident about where you are heading.

The Hermit: The hermit card in the Tarot deck is depicted by a man holding a lantern.  He is unable to see very far ahead of him, but has enough light to see where he is now.  This is a reminder to stay present.  Centre yourself in gratitude as you acknowledge all the wonderful things in your life right now!  There is so much to be grateful for, and by making this your focus, you will attract more abundance. The present is a gift so embrace it, wherever you are.  Trust that you are exactly where you need to be, learning new lessons every day to stock up your spiritual tool box.  When you remember, pause and focus on your breath.  From this point of stillness continue your day and know that all is well in your world.
