Staying close to home for star

ALMERIA born international popstar, David Bisbal, is once again using the province as the backdrop for the video to accompany his latest single, vice president of the Provincial Council, Javier Aureliano Garcia announced last week during an interview on Cadena SER radio.

For the time being the location chosen by Bisbal is a secret, however, he is currently in the area recording, the vice president stated.

This will be the fourth time the province appears in the singer’s videos. The first, for his song Ave Maria, was filmed on Playa de Monsul beach in Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park.  The second, for Buleria, in the Tabernas desert, and images of the Alcazaba in Almeria City appear in the Torre de Babel video.

The latest exposure will bring the province into view for millions of people, as each of Bisbal’s videos tends to be seen more than 10 million times, meaning it is a great way to help promote the Costa de Almeria destination, said the official.

“He adores Almeria. I’ve seen offers on the table for millions of euros for him to do the same thing he is doing for us virtually for free,” he added.
