METS Dog Training will again lead the fun dog show in Mijas on Sunday September 25. Suitable for all the family, this now annual event held at the Nordic Centre on the Fuengirola to Mijas Road, is a METS fundraiser for the local animal rescue charity PAD (Proteccion de Animales Domesticos).
The popular fun dog show starts at 11.00am with registration. There are 14 different imaginative sponsored competitions to enjoy throughout the day as well as stalls selling raffle tickets, teas, cakes and snacks etc and a barbecue.
The METS team will provide entertaining demonstrations of the various levels of dog dexterity and skills from basic to advanced that are available to dog owners at the METS weekly training classes.
The show is also a tribute to the memory of the late PAD member Patricia McCleary, who passed away in 2014. Patricia was an active member of PAD for many years and is fondly remembered for her literary contributions to the PAD newsletter.
Proceeds of the day will go to the PAD animal charity; the METS show last year raised €3,161.79.
