LA HERRADURA: A campaign has been launched to clean up dog mess.
THE Department of Environment in Almuñecar and La Herradura has teamed up with the company responsible for cleaning the streets to launch a reminder campaign concerning the danger of leaving dog mess unremoved from the streets.
The question of dog mess is one that attracts widespread complaint from visitors and residents alike and it appears that the highest number of offences occurs during the summer season as more and more people visit the town.
Council representative Louis Aragon reminded all residents that it is everybody’s duty to try to keep the streets clean even if it means telling your neighbours to clear up after their animals.
He went on to say however that generally speaking, dog owners had been responding well to the campaign and hoped that would continue to be the case.
