A round with the stars

PHILANTHROPIC foundation ‘Global Gift,’ headed by Malaga-born actress, and ex-girlfriend of Antonio Banderas, Maria Bravo, plus ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria, is to host a star-studded charity event in Marbella next month.

The Global Gift Solidarity Challenge, follows the success of the organisation’s flagship gala in July, which raised thousands of euros, and generated a public impact equivalent to a 10 million euro marketing campaign, according to media partners.

A gala dinner will be held at the Gran Melia Don Pepe luxury hotel, on Saturday, October 15, followed by the third Global Gift Golf Tournament at the Estepona Golf Club, with all funds donated to the Cudeca, Global Gift, and Marie Keating foundations.

The latter provides aid for female cancer sufferers, and was founded in memory of Boyzone superstar Ronan Keating’s mother, who died of breast cancer in 1998.

Ronan will be on hand to perform a special concert during the gala dinner, which will be attended by other British celebs, including TV presenter Vernon Kay, and rugby player Thom Evans.

Standard tickets for the dinner are priced at 200 euros, with the golf costing 140 euros, while a ‘platinum pack,’comprising both events,  is available for groups of four at 300 euros per person.

A special ‘VIP pack’ is also available, for a cool 1,000 euros, which includes tickets for both events, and a celebrity partner for the duration of the 18-hole golf competition.
