If you are looking for true style English Fish & Chips then the Crispy Cod in Fuengirola established 16 years ago in the year 2000 is the longest surviving Fish & Chip shop on the coast.
The present owner Sean took over the business some 8 years ago in the autumn of 2008. Since then he has set about turning it into the number one destination on the Costa Del Sol for true British style Fish and Chips. Eight years later he has achieved this goal and is looking forward to many more successful years.
Recently the Crispy Cod received its 5th consecutive Certificate of Excellence award from TripAdvisor. The accolade which honours hospitality excellence, is only given to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding reviews on Trip Advisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Only the top-performing 10 per cent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.
All the food served at the Crispy Cod is of the finest quality with sustainable, line-caught fish prepared in the traditional way and filleted on the premises: potatoes are peeled and freshly chipped daily, the batter is made from scratch to Sean’s own secret recipe and his homemade mushy peas and tartar sauce have an ever-growing fan club.
Through Sean’s dedication and hard work, coupled with the support of his family and staff, he often receives recognition through the local, national and international media for the quality
of his product. So if you are on holiday or live on the Costa Del Sol and missing the firm British favourite of Fish & Chips give the Crispy Cod a try. Serving both takeaway and sit down meals you can be assured you will not find better. The Crispy Cod can be found on the Paseo Maritimo in Fuengirola, located directly in front of the Hotel Piramedes. For table reservations or
take away orders please Tel 952 587 351, or visit www.crispycod.com open 7 days per week between 12 Noon and 11pm.
