A PLANE crash in Malta, the country’s worst peacetime aerial accident, has killed at least five people. Initial reports suggested that the light aircraft was carrying officials from the EU border agency Frontex, though the organisation has denied that it had chartered the plane.
The incident occurred at approximately 5.30am GMT and involved a twin-prop Metroliner which was en route to Misrata in Libya.
