A BRITISH man who arrived in Santander by ferry from Plymouth has been arrested by the National Police as part of an on-going investigation in co-operation with the British National Crime Agency.
The Briton was driving a 4×4 which was towing a trailer on which another vehicle was being carried and when stopped, officers found in hidden sections of the vehicle a number of different coloured pills which were housed in vacuum packed sleeves covered in grease in order to try to disguise their aroma from sniffer dogs.
It turned out that there were 15,954 MDMA (Ecstasy) tablets as well as 700 counterfeit ‘viagra’ tablets hidden within the vehicle and the man was arrested whilst the overall investigation with regards to the illegal importation of psychotropic drugs into Spain continues.
